Architecture in Urbino


The Francescan church of San berbardino, burial place of  Frederico da Montefeltro.

Cathedral of Urbino, designed by Francesco di Georgio in the 15th century to replace an earlier Structure. The west front is by a later architect, completed in 1782.

 
The Ducal palace. Di Giorgio's involvement is not known for certain. It is thought that he took on the completion of palace when the orignal architect, Luciana Laurana, left for Naples. The splendid studioli is attributed to him.

The monastery of Santa Chiara, a cloistered complex of the Poor Clare nuns.
